Asterpix, Inc. ("Asterpix") recognizes that your privacy and the protection of your personal information is important to you and is committed to protecting your privacy. The Asterpix Site includes all aspects of the Asterpix service including the embeddable player.

Personal Information

• Non-account activity. You can watch videos and add notes to public videos without having an Asterpix account. Any notes you add may include personal information if you choose to include it. All information you add in notes can be viewed by other users.

• Account-related activity.You must create a personal Asterpix account in order to create . protected videos. When you create an account, we require you to specify a username, your e-mail address (to confirm that you are a valid user), and a password, which is used to protect your account from unauthorized access. Optionally, you may choose to add other personal information to your user profile, including without limitation, your name, location, gender, date of birth, occupation, and website URL. You may, of course, decline to submit personally identifiable information through the Asterpix Site, in which case you can still view videos and add notes to public videos, but Asterpix may not be able to provide certain services to you. You may update your personal profile information at any time by visiting your account profile page.

• Usage Information. We may record information about your usage, such as when you use Asterpix as well as information you display or click on in Asterpix (including UI elements and other information). If you are logged in to your Asterpix account, we may associate that information with your account.

• Content added to Site.We store the content that you create, such as note descriptions, tags, and hyperlinks. Any video content (including note descriptions, tags, and hyperlinks) that you voluntarily submit becomes publicly available and can be collected and used by others.

Uses

• Asterpix takes the privacy of our users and members very seriously. We will never sell, rent, or otherwise provide your email address or other personally identifiable information we receive from you for your user profile to any third parties for marketing purposes or allow any other user of the Site to have access to your profile information. We do not use your email address or other personally identifiable information to send commercial or marketing messages without your consent. We may, however, contact you via email for non-marketing administrative purposes (such as notifying you of major Asterpix Site changes or for customer service purposes).

• Your account username (not your email address) is displayed on the Site when you add videos or content (including note descriptions, hyperlinks, and tags) to Asterpix. Any video content that you submit to the Asterpix Site may be redistributed through the internet and other media channels, and may be viewed by the general public.

• We may use internally both your personally identifiable information and certain non-personally-identifiable information (such as anonymous usage data, cookies, IP addresses, browser type, clickstream data, etc.) to improve the quality and design of the Site and to create new features, promotions, functionality, and services by storing, tracking, and analyzing user preferences and trends.

• We use cookies and log file information to: (a) store information so that you will not have to re-enter it during your visit or the next time you visit the Asterpix Site; (b) provide custom, personalized content and information; (c) monitor aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors, pages viewed, etc.

Asterpix will not use or share your personal information in a manner that differs from what is described in this Privacy Policy without your prior consent.

How your information is protected:

Asterpix strictly protects the security of the personal information you provide. Personal information we collect is stored in password-controlled servers with limited access, and we carefully protect this information from loss or misuse, and from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

When your information may be disclosed:

Asterpix may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to: conform to the requirements of the law or comply with legal process served on Asterpix or the site.

We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will also revise the "last modified" date at the top of the Privacy Policy. Sale of assets:

In the unlikely event that Asterpix or substantially all of its assets are acquired, customer information will of course be one of the transferred assets.
