The world that we live in has seen numerous tragedies over the years. Wars, riots, genocides, killings and famines. The architects of some of these inhuman practices are considered to be the most evil humans in world history. These people have made decisions that have wreaked havoc over the entire world and humanity as a whole. Check out this list of six most evil humans through history.

Adolf Hitler

Adolf Hitler, the Chancellor of Germany, was the leader of Nazi Party and ruled over Germany from 1933 to 1945. He is known for initiating the Second World War with the Poland Invasion in 1939. He was the primary figure behind ‘the Holocaust’ that killed more than 6 million Jews.

Before he came to power, he wanted to become an artist but failed to do so. He then joined the Germany Army and fought in World War I. He escaped when the Germany army surrendered and returned to the country. The surrender by the army made him bitter, and then he turned on the Jews. He believed that Jews were the cause for the problems in Germany, and he did not consider them as human beings. He planned to eliminate all the Jews in Europe and gain control over the entire world.

Hitler ordered the killing of any Jew, or any person he though was an enemy or a problem. He used injured people for different experiments on methods of killing, such as with carbon dioxide. These experiments led to the death of over 300,000 people. All Jews in Germany were forced to go to concentration camps and were forced to work until they dropped dead. Jews were killed using gas chambers, lethal injections, firing squads and crematories. Many died of starvation, force labor, poison, executions and medical experiments.

He came up with a breading program according to which little children were killed if they did not meet Nazi-defined perfection. He is directly responsible for killing over 11 million people which included Jehovah’s Witnesses, Freemasons, Jews, homosexuals, gypsies, slaves, mentally-ill, non-Jewish Poles, and numerous Russians. In 1945, he committed suicide by cyanide poisoning and gunshot.

Genghis Khan

Genghis Khan, the founder of the Mongol Empire, ruled the empire between 1206 and 1227. During his reign, he conquered most parts of China and many lands through the Caspian Sea. It is said that Genghis Khan was cruel, vengeful, bloodthirsty and ruthless.

He and his army destroyed numerous cities, and killed countless civilians, children as well as soldiers. Citizens were murdered by having molten silver and metal poured into their ears and eyes. In a single massacre, over 700,000 people were murdered. In another instance, numerous poor people were decapitated and rich citizens were tortured to find their treasures and seize them.

Genghis Khan ordered his troops to carry out numerous tortures on the citizens. Women were often raped right in front of their families. Thousands of lives and families were ruined. It is even said that his army men would cut off the vein of a horse and drink the blood if they had no water to drink.

Genghis Khan used people as human shields and turned millions of people into slaves. He ordered his troops to kill any and all people if they betrayed him, were disloyal to him or were his enemy.

He, along with his army, killed more than 60 million people, which is roughly equal to 30 percent of the world’s population during that time. He killed ¾ of the total population of Iran, which is equivalent to about 15 million people.

He was so evil that he even murdered his own brother at the age of 13 just for stealing a fish from him. He said once, “The Greatest Pleasure is to see towns getting reduced to ashes”.

He also said he loved to witness his enemy disseminate in front of his eyes, see their loved ones veiled in tears and take their daughters and wives under his control. Genghis Khan died in 1227 due to natural causes.

Joseph Stalin

Joseph Stalin was the dictator of Georgia as well as the leader of Soviet Union from 1920s till 1953. He retained popularity in Georgia and Russia as a victorious leader who made the Soviet Union a major world power.

However, he was widely condemned for mass repressions, carrying out millions of executions, ethnic cleaning and famines killing millions. During his younger days, he was an assassin and a robber. But after his long road to power, he turned into a ruthless, unforgiving, paranoid and vengeful dictator.

For over 30 years, he ruled with violence and terror in Soviet Union. He made so many cruel decision that led to a massive famine and ended up killing millions. Not only enemies, he even killed the families of people who liked him. Under his reign, more than 20 million people were killed and over 1.5 million women in Germany were raped. He quoted, “One death is termed a tragedy, millions of them are just statistics.”

Any person who displeased him, spied on him or voted against him was brutally killed. He planned to turn Soviet Union into a superpower industrial country. To achieve this, people were forced to work endlessly till death or were sent into slave labor.

Stalin’s son died in one of the Nazi concentration camps when he refused to trade even for his life. He ordered the death of people who were fighting to defend the country against Nazis. Thousands of people belonging to different countries were raped, tortured or killed. He died in 1953 of a stroke.

Osama bin Laden

Osama bin Laden was a cruel terrorist belonging to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He founded

Al-Qaeda, the most renowned terrorist organization in the world, which claimed the responsibility for the terror attack of September 11 on the United States of America.

The attacks of September 11 are considered to be one of the cruelest things to have happened in the world. This attack killed over 2996 people and made Osama bin Laden the most hated and evil person in history.

Osama bin Laden is also responsible for numerous bombing attacks on various Embassies of United States including the Embassies in Tanzania, Nairobi and Dares Salaam. These attacks killed over 212 people and injured over 4000. He also sponsored the massacre in Luxor on 17 November killed over 70 people.

Osama has also caused numerous other bombings across the world like the Madrid train bombings in 2004 and serial blasts in Bali in October 2002, killing thousands of people.

Thousands of Iraqi citizen were killed due to Al-Qaeda bombings. In 2007, various bombings in places like Jazeera and Qahtaniya in Iran killed over 800 and injured 1500 people. Not only this, he also supported other Terror groups to attack United States. Overall, his war of terror killed over 1.2 million people around the world, making him one of the most evil humans through history.

Vlad Tepes

Vlad III, also known as ‘Vlad Dracula’ and ‘Vlad the Impaler’ was the monarch of Romania. He is renowned for being one of the most evil dictators in the world who used gruesome torture techniques and executed millions of people.

The famous character of Dracula was based loosely on Vlad with his sadistic personality and cruel acts performed on people of Wallachia, a kingdom he reigned over thrice between 1448 and 1462. He ended up killing almost 20 percent of the population.

A German pamphlet once published that “He roasted children and fed them to the mothers. He cut off women’s breasts and force-fed them to their husbands. And after this, he had all of them impaled”. It is said that he impaled his victims through their buttocks till stake came out through their mouth.

Saddam Hussein

Saddam Hussein, the fifth President of Iraq, is considered to be another evil soul. He ruled as the dictator of the country from 1979 to 2003. During this time, he ordered countless attack on the people of the country. He is responsible for the death of more than 2 million people.

He authorized numerous attack on the citizen of his own country including chemical attack on Halabja’s Kurdish village. This attack lead to the death of over 5000 people. Saddam’s terror campaign against the Kurds between 1987 and 1988 killed almost 100,000 people.

According to Amnesty International’s report, the torture victims in Iran were subject to severe beatings, eye gouging, electric shocks, chemical attacks and much more. Many of the victims died as a result of these torture tactics and many were left with permanent psychological and physical damage.

It is also said that he recorded many of these deaths and tortures, so he could watch them later. According to reports, he even had more than 40 of his own relatives killed. During his reign as the dictator, he executed more than 400,000 Iraqis.

In the year 2006, Saddam Hussein was found guilty of numerous crimes against humanity and was hanged by the Iraqi Special Tribunal.
